Mayor announces Food Giant coming to ‘food desert’
Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin these days declared an incentive bundle to deliver a Food items Large grocery store to an place he explained as a “food desert.”
The Meals Large will be in the 2200 block of Bessemer Highway in a 22,000-square-feet setting up that when housed a Winn-Dixie grocery store in 5 Details West.

The city will supply $640,000 in incentives to Mitchell Retail Houses, additionally a 10-yr income sharing plan of 50 % of income taxes up to $1 million. Mitchell Retail mentioned it expects to open up the area by Dec. 1.
The incentive system was approved and encouraged by the Town Council’s Budget and Finance Committee on Monday.
