Resorts World’s street food recipes traveled from SE Asia to Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – What’s it get to carry genuine street food items 9,000 miles from hawker stalls in Southeast Asia to a new vacation resort on The Strip?

A kitchen with a notebook, webcam and chefs keen to find out. 

That’s what’s going on guiding the scenes at Resorts Environment Las Vegas, where the hotel-casino is preparing to launch Well-known Street Eats — a 24,000-sq.-foot foodstuff market filled with dishes from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and over and above.

In a video lesson, Famous Foods Street Eats Executive Chef Kevin Hee and assistant chef Angela Ng practiced flipping dough to make authentic Roti Canai from Singapore hawker Springleaf Prata.

In normal moments, hawkers would have boarded a aircraft in Southeast Asia and flown here to instruct Vegas chefs the tricks to perfecting the dishes.

COVID-19 designed that form of journey not possible, but the vacation resort opening on June 24 applied the electricity of engineering to transfer all that culinary know-how to the Nevada desert.
